Alpha and Omega
"I Am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end." Rev 22:13
Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet and therefore symbolically signify the beginning and the ending. These letters also signify the past, the present, and the future. Revelation 1:8 says, "I am the Alpha and the Omega.... Who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty."
Anita fashioned this piece as a reminder that on our life's journey. He is the beginning and the ending. As the circumstances of life happen in our personal lives we see doors closed, and yet we see new doors opened. Whether circumstances involve changing from an old job to a new one, moving from one city to another city, or changes happening in relationships. He is always there, what sometimes seems like the end is really just a new beginning.
Instead of being focused on our circumstances may this piece remind us to keep our focus on the Lord, the One who is the beginning and the ending. He is continually beginning and ending and ending and beginning.
